Who are you?

Anarchists

Why does person XY has a book table? Why is brochure Z on a table?

The responsibility for the material on the tables lies solely with those who brought it. If something is not “to your liking” we strongly recommend to go into conflict and to discuss differences and also to be ready to go separate ways if these cannot be bridged. We see acting out conflicts and differences as good exercise.

In our views a lively culture of discussion and the willingness to have disputes are an integral part of anarchist thought. Nevertheless, we hope that a respectful atmosphere will be maintained. If there are any problems in this regard, the Infopoint and the entrance are good places to go.

Why is there no detailed “About us” section?

We see no point in hiding behind empty phrases or assigning ourselves to any anarchist “currents”. The purpose of an anarchist book fair should be clear: To get together, to discuss, to read.

When will there be a detailed program online?

During the summer

Can I give a talk/ do a workshop?

Write an E-Mail (Hyperlink). It depends on the time capacities whether it can be included in the program.

Besides there is enough space for personal initiative. If you have questions concerning the venue, ask at Infopoint. Promotion of groups is not desired.

Can I do a book table?

For better planing, please notify us beforehand. But there is enough space and tables for spontaneous book tables. Ask at Infopoint for directions.

Will there be food and drinks?

It is planed to have food and drinks available. How it is organised is still being planned.

There are various takeaways and shops near the venue that are also open on Sundays (monitored!).

In which language are the talks? Will there be translation?

The respective languages are noted in the program. There will be whisper-translations if needed.

Responsibility & initiative

If you witness or are affected by any kind of harassment during the festival, intervene, ask questions, don’t look away. And you can always turn to the people at the bar or at the Infopoint who will support you. We don’t need police etc. to solve our conflicts. We are all responsible for a pleasant atmosphere.

Sleeping space

If you have the possibility to organize a sleeping space for yourself, please do so. We try to organize extra sleeping space, but our capacities are limited.

If you can offer a place to sleep please write us.

In both cases, write a message to a-pennplatz@riseup.net

Childcare

Kids are explicitly welcome at the talks. We offer a small kids corner at every talk. The talks are smoke-free.
